Often due to being interrupted, concentrating on your thought of what you wish to say next, and therefore not listening to the interruption.

What you just said clearly indicates impulsive speech, which is not listening to me because youre only thinking of what you want to say next. If you had listened, you wouldve known to say something other than that.
