a) Part of the foot on the backside where it becomes the leg.
b) The part of a shoes sole which supports the foots heel.
2. verb /hiːl/
a) To follow at somebodys heels; to chase closely.
b) To add a heel to, or increase the size of the hell (a shoe or boot).
